Meet your therapist

Stefania Gheorghiu (She/Her)

Stefania Gheorghiu, LCMFT

Adopted from Romania, I was raised in the U.S since the age of 6. Having grown up in a multicultural environment, I have a perspective unique to many other first and second generation Americans. I am passionate about working with couples and individuals navigating two (or more) cultures and finding belonging in a foreign world.

My work with individuals and couples centers around navigating significant life transitions (moving to different countries; becoming a parent; death of a loved one), managing anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, and healing from loss, abandonment and betrayal. I also work with those impacted by substance abuse/addiction or those wishing to re-evaluate their relationship with drugs and alcohol. I see couples at any stage of the relationship (dating, pre-marital, married, contemplating divorce/separation) and am especially passionate about helping partners rebuild intimacy and trust after the trauma of infidelity. â€‹

I believe authenticity and transparency is vital to our work together. As my primary concern is to create a safe space for you to address uncomfortable and complex topics, I welcome any questions you may have about me, my practice, and my values to ensure that I am a good fit for your needs. I look forward to connecting with you!
